We’re eager to welcome you to a mid-summer tour of our area farms!  Z-Orchard is excited to be a part of this tour!

The 13 farms include a variety of producers: flowers, mushrooms, cattle, sheep and goat, pigs and chickens, vegetables and fruiting trees and shrubs. While our products vary, we share a strong commitment to environmental stewardship, humane animal husbandry, and revitalized community. And we all have ties to the Apple River watershed, a connection share with residents, industry and wildlife. YOU are an important part of encouraging a better food system, and we hope you’ll visit our growing community.

Now’s your chance to walk with us, meet our livestock, learn about the produce, and become a closer part of our community.

We’re eager to meet you, show you around, and describe how and why we use practices that restore our soil and protect groundwater while growing great foods. We also want to learn about your interest in local food.

Come for fun and relaxation. There will be activities, walks, talks, and tours. Pack a cooler – there will be food to sample and to buy. Bring a sun hat, insect repellent and sturdy shoes. Most farms will have comfort facilities for your convenience.

Enjoy our farms throughout the day: enjoy the fresh air, pasture walks, farm animals, activities, great food (to eat right away and to buy for your cooler), and interesting conversations.
